Both initial and follow-up appointments are offered at a duration of 45 minutes to ensure you undergo a thorough assessment, establishing the root cause of your condition with enough time to ensure you receive the necessary treatment in the very same appointment.
Your follow-up appointments will cover a review of your exercises, to ensure these are done with correct form, along with any progression of these where tolerable. We will also complete any further hands-on treatment that is indicated alongside this.
If you feel you would benefit more from an in-person assessment with hands-on treatment, or you want one-to-one coaching through your exercise programme, we offer a mobile service where your physiotherapist will drive to your house to keep your rehab as convenient as possible.
Throughout your initial virtual consultation, we will discuss what your main problems are, how long they have been present, and what some of the triggers for this may have been. This will be followed by an objective assessment, to have a closer look at how provocative your symptoms are, before providing you with a diagnosis and tailored treatment plan moving forward.
Follow-ups will look to review your progress both in terms of presentation and adaptation of your exercise plan.
What do I need to do before my appointment?
Once you have booked your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email stating the time of your appointment. Our admin team will then email you asking you to provide your patient details and then to confirm that you are happy with the privacy policy and consent to the appointment going ahead.
How do I pay for my appointment?
Upon conclusion of your appointment, you will receive an invoice from PhysiWeb with payment details. Once the payment is completed, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your payment.
What is the cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, meaning any cancellations less than 24 hours in advance of the appointment time are charged at 50% of the appointment price. A 50% appointment fee is also applicable to missed appointments.
What will happen once I have finished my appointment?
Once you have finished your appointment, your physiotherapist will email you with your home exercise programme, featuring videos which demonstrate your prescribed exercises, to make it clear and easy to follow.
We also know that it can be very easy to come out of an appointment and forget what your physiotherapist told you about your diagnosis and the advice around the management of it. That's why we email you after the appointment with written advice, making you feel as supported as possible in your rehab journey.
Which video call software is used for appointments?
We conduct all video calls using a clinical programme called 'Writeupp'. This offers a safe encrypted space for appointments to ensure full privacy during our sessions. The link to the video consultation will be sent with your appointment confirmation.
